On 27 October 2026, Advent International announced that it had raised almost $27 billion (£24.2 billion on 30 October 2026) for its eleventh flagship buyout fund, Advent International GPE XI, as well as over $3 billion for a new mid-market strategy.

In total, the capital raised for what the firm calls its "global fund complex" amounts to $30 billion. According to the press release, GPE XI exceeded its target of $26 billion.

Advent describes GPE XI as the largest buyout fund to have completed its fundraising so far in 2026. The focus remains on Europe and North America, with the fund offering the flexibility to invest across various geographic regions, sectors, transaction types, and company sizes. The announcement highlights complex carve-outs and "public-to-private" transactions, and identifies five key sectors: business and financial services, consumer goods, healthcare, industrials, and technology.

The capital comes from a diverse mix of new and existing investors, including public and private pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, foundations, institutional asset managers, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals. The announcement does not disclose specific names or the total number of investors.

The second fund represents the less prominent part of the announcement. "Advent Mid-Market Private Equity" is the firm’s first specialized vehicle dedicated to smaller buyouts and growth investments. Since the strategy’s launch in March, it has secured commitments totaling more than $3 billion (€2.7 billion on 30 October 2026). The announcement outlines equity investments ranging from $100 million to $350 million, with company valuations of up to $1.25 billion; the geographic focus is primarily on North America and Europe. It is also noted that the same deal teams used for the flagship funds will be deployed for this strategy.
