Madrid-based investment firm Seaya has launched Seaya Nova, a growth fund that raised €600 million at first close in about six months (Tech.eu). No final close has been announced.
Seaya Nova will lead or co-lead Series B to D rounds in European technology companies, with tickets from €20 million up to €50 million (Tech.eu, HedgeCo). Bloomberg reports a team of eight investors, working from Madrid and from a new opened London office.
Seaya was founded in 2013 and is headquartered in Madrid. With Seaya Nova it now runs three strategies: Seaya Ventures for early-stage startups, Seaya Andromeda for sustainability-focused companies and Seaya Nova for growth.
In February 2026, Seaya was reported to have secured a €300 million EIF anchor commitment for a €1 billion growth fund called Growth Tech Fund I. These reports may describe the same vehicle.
Seaya Nova is backed by the EIF under the European Tech Champions Initiative, the EIB Group programme created to address the funding gap facing Europe's growth-stage technology companies. Europe is tackling its late-stage funding problem. At the same time, fewer and fewer companies reach a Series A: 9.3% of seed-stage start-ups in 2023, down from 23.3% between 2008 and 2019 (according to Antler). Producing more scale-ups takes more than late-stage capital. It takes a financing pipeline from the first cheque through to growth. With Seaya Ventures and Seaya Nova, Seaya now covers that whole range under one roof.
